Two Fortinos locations in Hamilton report COVID-19 cases

Two workers at two Fortinos locations in Hamilton have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the grocery store’s parent company.

Loblaw Companies Ltd. reports on Thursday (Nov. 19) that a worker at the Fortinos on Dundurn, who was last in the store on Nov. 13, has tested positive and a crew member at the Fortinos on Hamilton Street in Waterdown, who was last in the store on Nov. 13, has also tested positive.

“Given the important role we play in our communities, we are prepared for all possible situations, including a positive test for COVID-19 in our stores,” the company says on their website.

“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores.”
