As the cool weather rolls in, all I want on a Saturday morning is the comforting breakfast of eggs benedict.

I would never attempt to make Hollandaise sauce myself, so I’m glad to see that Hamilton is brimming with eggs benedict options.

5. Breezy Corners

Breezy Corners is your classic family-run restaurant (Freelton and Hamilton) with your classic eggs benedict options. You can opt for their Eggs Benedict with peameal bacon or the Eggs Florentine with fresh baby spinach. Each is topped with Hollandaise sauce and served with home fries.

 

4. Gage Park Diner
975 Main St E, Hamilton

Out for a stroll in Gage Park and want to grab some breakfast to take home? Well, Gage Park Diner is the place to go. My recommendation is the Eggs Lenny, which is topped with a delicious Hollandaise sauce that isn’t too heavy and just the right flavour.

 

3. Jet Cafe
184 King St E, Hamilton

While I miss Jet Café’s massive coffee selection, I am thrilled that I can order delivery of their Eggs Benedict. It was delicious, didn’t get soggy in the delivery process, and came with some of the best home fries I’ve had in a while.

 

2. Sammy’s Family Restaurant
2 Cameron Dr, Ancaster

While I highly recommend Sammy’s classic eggs benedict, I opted for the Spring Benedict. Rather than the standard back bacon or ham, the Spring Benedict had avocado and salmon. It was a refreshing take on eggs benedict and felt almost healthy. Sammy’s has an entire vegetarian menu for those meat-free people in your life.

The Egg & I was the first place I ever had eggs benedict and remains the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had. I compare their hollandaise sauce to all other hollandaise sauces. The Guacamole & Cheddar Benny, which was the Egg & I’s classic ham eggs benedict with you guessed it, guacamole and cheddar. If that isn’t what you are looking for, they have 11 different types of egg benedict. Try 1 or try them all!
