The province is reporting 3,422 new cases of COVID-19 today (January 17) and 69 deaths related to the virus.
Locally, there are 1,035 new cases in Toronto, 585 in Peel, 254 in Windsor-Essex County, 246 in York Region, 186 in Niagara, 91 in Hamilton, and 59 in Halton.
Since yesterday, 3,078 more cases were resolved and nearly 60,200 additional tests completed.
As of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, Health Minister Christine Elliott reports that 200,097 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ontario.
The stay-at-home order remains in effect for the entire province.
“Only leave home for essential purposes such as food, health care, exercise or work. It is the law,” Elliott says.
