Ontario is reporting 2,359 new cases of COVID-19 today (January 23).
At this time, the province hasn’t reported today’s deaths related to the virus.
Locally, there are 708 new cases in Toronto, 422 in Peel, 220 in York Region, 107 in Hamilton, and 101 in Ottawa.
Since yesterday, 3,375 more cases were resolved and nearly 63,500 additional tests completed.
As of 8:00 p.m. yesterday, Health Minister Christine Elliott reports that 276,146 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ontario.
The stay-at-home order remains in effect for the entire province.
“Only leave home for essential purposes such as food, health care, exercise or work. It is the law,” Elliott says.
