A new market is coming to a very popular street in Hamilton and it looks like it will be the place to go this holiday season for some locally made and sourced products.

The community around East Hamilton’s Ottawa Street has extended a very warm welcome to Crown Point Market, which opened their doors over the weekend.

They don’t seem to be open to the public on a full-time basis, just yet, but it’s only a matter of time.

On the market’s website, it says they’re not due to open until next week on Dec. 1st, but some locals got a sneak peek at some of the products and goodies that will be found at the store.

Among them, fresh-baked, mouthwatering baked goods and a carefully curated selection of kitchen staples and luxuries.

Crown Point Market, named for the Hamilton neighbourhood that it calls home, is located at 162 Ottawa, on the block between Roxborough and Cannon on the east side of the street in the building that previously housed Where Heads Meet.

The outpouring of support on social media for one of Hamilton’s newest small businesses has been effusive, particularly those from neighbouring businesses who have welcomed them with open arms.

Without a doubt, Crown Point Market is going to be a welcome addition to this historic Hamilton street and will be a nice complement to the already vibrant scene on Ottawa.
