Health Canada is warning Canadian consumers about a recall on a bubble bath product that could result in serious infections.

The recall, according to the Health Canada website, applies to the Everyday Gentle Bubble Bath in Sweet Orange Vanilla 355ml bottles sold between October 2020 and January 2021.

An estimated 1,020 units of the product were sold at locations in Canada, including Walmart.

The “identified hazards” include the potential presence of the microorganism Pluralibacter gergoviae, a bacteria that rarely causes serious infections in healthy individuals.

But Health Canada said those who use the contaminated product with weakened immune systems, who suffer from a serious pre-existing condition, who have been treated surgically, or belong to another sensitive group of persons are at an increased risk of infection if they use the contaminated product.

The recalled product can be identified by three markings:

UPC 817810010071 (located on the black label)

SKU number H02BB122V2RES

Lot Numbers TH20234201 and TH20237201 (located on the bottom of the bottle)

Consumers are being asked to immediately stop using the recalled product and go to www.honest.com, email [email protected], or call 1-888-862-8818 to determine if they are using the affected product and how they can dispose of it and get a refund.
