Hamilton Police say they are looking to identify a man who was involved in a physical altercation at the Dundas Driving Park on Wednesday (March 25).

Shortly before 2:00 p.m. Hamilton Police received reports of a youth attempting to enter vehicles in the parking lot of the Dundas Driving Park located at 71 Cross St. in Dundas. A man intervened and physically confronted the youth. After the confrontation, the man left.

When police arrived, the area was clear, but officers were able to locate a young man matching the description of the youth seen trying to access the cars.

After speaking with the youth, police determined he was in crisis and his attempts to engage with the vehicles were not criminal in nature as he had mistaken them for a family member’s vehicle.

At this time police are looking to identify the man involved in the altercation in order to speak with him.

He is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • Dark clothing
  • Dark coloured baseball cap
  • Light coloured boots
  • Dark coloured knapsack

Hamilton Police say they have learned that there were several witnesses present during the incident and they are urging them to come forward.
