In an effort to continue the rapid pace of vaccination rates among Ontarians, the City of Toronto has opened 15,000 vaccination appointments for June 27 at Scotiabank Arena, which is being called ‘Vaccine Day.’

In order to help all those who want to get vaccinated get to the arena, Metrolinx has announced it is offering free service on GO Transit and UP Express to get to and from Scotiabank Arena.

Those who are planning to get vaccinated can access free transportation to and from the arena by presenting their appointment confirmation—either in print or email.

Additionally, those who are attending—both as staff members and volunteers—will also be able to access free transportation to the venue.

Further, all passengers—including those who may have been fully immunized—will be required to wear face coverings while using the GO Transit and UP Express.

Moreover, Metrolinx staff will be in full force in order to assist those who may not have used the transit service before, as well as those who haven’t used it for an extended length of time.
