At least 60 rows and 10 flights affected by COVID-19 at Pearson Airport

Travellers within Mississauga and the GTA may have been exposed to COVID-19 on ten flights at Pearson Airport recently.
Three of the flights were within Canada, including two that departed the airport and one that arrived at the airport on March 20 and 21.
The remaining seven flights were international and all landed at Pearson from abroad between March 17 and 20.
At least 60 rows were affected across the 10 flights.
According to the federal government, a row is considered affected if it’s three rows behind or in front of a row where a seated person is confirmed to have COVID-19 “during a period when they may have been infectious to others.”

Passengers who were sitting in the affected rows (or all passengers on the flight if rows aren’t specified) are advised to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days and contact public health if they start showing symptoms of the virus.
