Merry Christmas Hamilton!
Due to the lockdown, some things that are typically open on Christmas Day (ie: theatres, bowling alleys etc.) are closed.
Social gatherings are prohibited and residents are asked to celebrate the holidays with members of their own household exclusively. People who live alone are permitted to join one other household for the holidays.
In Hamilton here’s what’s open and closed on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2020:
Open:

Some restaurants will be open for curbside pick-up and delivery, call ahead to be sure

Garbage Collection:
There will be no green cart, blue box, bulk waste, yard waste, or garbage pick-up on Christmas Day. Your pick-up will be one day later if it falls on or after the holiday.
Transit:
Special Holiday level of service will operate from approximately 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on routes that normally operate on Sundays.
Routes 9, 10, 12, 16, 18, 20, 42, 51, 52A and 56 will not operate
Given the current lockdown situation in Hamilton, the City is urging residents to use public transit for essential purposes only.
GO Transit will run on a Sunday schedule
