Water main breaks in Hamilton force lane restrictions, road closures

Several water main breaks have closed roads and reduced lanes in parts of Hamilton Friday (Dec. 20) morning.

The City of Hamilton tweeted out that lane restrictions are in effect on Hester Street on the mountain, between Manning and Ridge, as crews are on site to repair a water main break.

That work is expected to be completed by late Friday afternoon.
The intersection of Homestead Drive and Longview Drive in Mount Hope is closed due to a water main break as well.

Crews are expected to have that repaired by 6 p.m.
Motorists might consider alternate routes.
