‘Victim not cooperating” as Hamilton Police investigate downtown stabbing

The Hamilton Police Service continue to investigate a downtown stabbing incident.

On Tuesday (Feb. 4) shortly after 5:00 p.m., Hamilton Police say it received information about an injured male in the parking lot of Canadian Tire, located at 304 Main St E.

Upon arrival, police say they located a 21-year-old male with “non-life-threatening” injuries.

The man was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment as the area was secured for a police investigation.

The victim is not cooperating, according to police. 

“Residents in the area of Main Street East and Victoria Avenue South are urged to check their security cameras for suspicious activity and contact police.”
