The Hamilton Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old girl.

The Hamilton Police is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 16-year-old girl.

On Wednesday, July 8, 2020, shortly after 4:00 p.m., police say that Sheila Johnston was last seen walking by herself, away from her residence towards Myrtle Avenue and Main Street East in Central Hamilton.

Since that time, police say there has been no bank or social media activity on Johnston’s accounts. Through continued investigation, police learned she has ties to the Newmarket area.

Hamilton Police have investigated several leads which have turned up nothing, so now they are asking for the public’s assistance in determining her whereabouts.

Johnston is described as:

  • Height 5’6”
  • Medium build
  • Weight 165lbs
  • Short shoulder length hair, dyed red
  • Blue eyes
  • Visible scars on arms and legs
  • Unknown clothing
