UPDATED: Hamilton school placed on ‘hold and secure’

The Hamilton Police Service took to Twitter Wednesday afternoon to notify the public that Cathedral High School had been placed on “hold and secure”.
The tweet was sent at around 12 p.m. as police investigated the area.
Cathedral High School has been placed into Hold & Secure for an investigation in the area. The school has been placed in H&S as a precautionary measure.#HamOnt @HWCDSB

Update: Hamilton Police say the hold and secure has been lifted and that “at no time was there a threat to public safety.”
