Hamilton Police announced Friday (June 19) that criminal charges were laid against a driver involved in a fatal collision that occurred June 3 on Airport Rd.

Shortly before 10:00 p.m., a 2016 Honda Civic was being driven by 19-year-old westbound on Airport Rd with three passengers.

The Honda entered the intersection and collided with a 2011 Ford Escape, driven by a 41-year-old man, travelling northbound on Nebo Rd, according to police.

The occupants from both vehicles were transported to the hospital with serious injuries. A female passenger in the Honda died to her injuries.

Due to a publication ban, police did not specify which driver was being charged.
