Two more grocery store employees in Hamilton have tested positive for coronavirus.
This week Loblaw’s reported that an employee at their Fortino’s location in Ancaster on Wilson had tested positive for the virus.
This employee’s last day of work was August 19, the company reports.
An employee at Frank’s No Frills on Rymal has also tested positive for the virus. Their last day of work was August 15.
This is the second reported COVID-19 case of an employed at Frank’s No Frills. The first was reported back on April 13.
“In these cases, we work closely with public health and follow their guidance to ensure proper notification of close contacts and required cleaning and sanitization in our stores,” Loblaw’s says on their website.
“In all of our stores, we encourage our colleagues and employees to wear masks, particularly where physical distancing is not always possible.”
These are the second and third confirmed COVID-19 cases among Hamilton grocery store employees in just over a week.
On August 19, it was reported that an employee at a Metro on the East mountain had tested positive for the virus.
All stores have since been reopened to the public.
