Traffic restrictions in effect due to large watermain break in Hamilton

Residents should be aware of traffic restrictions in Hamilton today.

At 4:45 p.m. today, the city reported that water crews are investigating a large watermain break on Burlington St E near Ottawa St N.

Work is expected to be complete by 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 14, the city says.

Drivers may want to take alternate routes as traffic restrictions will be in place in the area until Sunday morning.
