Hamilton police laid stunt driving charges on a tow truck driver Saturday afternoon.
Police say the 44-year-old man from Caledonia was caught driving 113 km/hr in a posted 60 zone.

Police say the 44-year-old man from Caledonia was caught driving 113 km/hr in a posted 60 zone.
“Shortly before 4:00 p.m., police were conducting speed enforcement on Nikola Tesla Boulevard,” said the Hamilton Police Service. “At that time, a white tow truck was observed operating at a speed considerably faster than the posted speed limit.”

The driver is scheduled to appear in court Sept 23.
In accordance with the Ontario Highway Traffic Act, stunt driving violations result in an immediate seven-day drivers licence suspension and vehicle impoundment.
If found guilty in court, the penalties for stunt driving could include a fine up to $10,000, up to six months in jail, and a two-year licence suspension.
