Is there anything more comforting than a hot bowl of delicious soup on a cold February day?

Well, here’s your chance to indulge ’til your heart’s content as Soup Fest is on at the Hamilton Convention Centre on Tuesday (Feb. 11).

The event is a fundraiser for Hamilton’s Living Rock Youth Centre and is the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

This is the 18th year that Hamilton area restaurants will be competing for their soups to be named Best Soup, Most Creative Soup, Best Display and the tastiest heart smart.

The competition will be stiff as eateries like The Burnt Tongue, Thirsty Cactus, Radius, Smoke and Candy BBQ, Baci and many others will be serving up the hot stuff.

All participants donate the soup for the event, which runs from 11:30 to 7:30 Tuesday.

All proceeds will support Living Rock Ministries efforts in responding to youth-at-risk.

The event will feature a toonie auction as well as live entertainment and there is a shuttle service from Bayfront Park and Lime Ridge Mall to the Convention Centre will be offered throughout the day.

Tickets are available in advance here. Or at the door. Admission includes four 4 oz bowls of soup.
