Roads closed during Santa Claus Parade in Hamilton

It’s the day of the Santa Claus parade, with holiday cheer on full display in downtown Hamilton!
It’s the day of the Santa Claus parade, with holiday cheer on full display in downtown Hamilton!
However, if you’re not into the parade and just plan to be on the road today, then you should be aware of which road closures will be in effect.
The parade starts at the corners of Bay St North and Barton St West, will head south on Bay St N, then east on York Blvd. It’ll then proceed north on James St N and will end at the corners of James St N and Barton St East.
The city reports that these roads will be closed at the following times:

- Stuart St (Hess-Bay), 2-6pm
- Hess St (Barton-Stuart), 2-6pm
- Bay St (Strachan-York), 4-6pm
- York Blvd (Bay-James), 4-6:30pm
- James St (York-Strachan), 4-6:30pm
- Strachan St (James-Bay), 4:30-6:30pm
The aforementioned roads will all be reopened by 6:30 p.m.
