Power Outage Leaves Hundreds of Homes Without Power in Hamilton

There is currently a power outage affecting approximately 1793 homes and businesses in Hamilton.

There is currently a power outage affecting approximately 1793 homes and businesses in Hamilton.

The outage is affecting buildings in the area of King Street West to Aberdeen Avenue from Haddon Avenue South to Queen Street South.

Alectra confirmed in a Tweet that the cause is due to the severe weather.

Another outage is also affecting nearly 743 homes and businesses in that area of Rosscliffe Avenue to Upper Sherman Avenue from Concession Street to Charlton Avenue East.

Crews are working to restore power to both locations.

The estimated time for restoration is 9 pm.

UPDATE:

Outages in the area of King Street West to Aberdeen Avenue from Haddon Avenue South to Queen Street South have been reduced to 525.

The new estimated restoration time is 1 am.

UPDATE 2:

Outages in the Flamborough area that were affecting 4909 in have also been reduced to 52 homes.

The eta on restoration is 8 am for the 52 homes.
