Locke Street is welcoming a new business to the street this week, but it’s a store that’s not unfamiliar in Hamilton.

Vintage Charm has opened the doors to their new Locke Street location on Friday (May 22) after closing up shop at their original location on James North.

“Opening day has arrived,” the store said Friday in a Facebook post.

“So excited to start this next journey on Locke St for Vintage Charm. Loving the warm welcome we have received from this community.”

In the post, VC shares pictures of the interior of their new space and it’s even lovelier than their previous location.

While the retailer of vintage-inspired home decor and accessories is opening their doors to the public, they will be following strict physical distancing protocols to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 so if you head down, you may have to wait to get inside.

“We will welcome 5 customers in the store at our time and will be taking every precaution to ensure we provide a safe and clean shopping experience,” a VC Facebook post says.

“We will be wiping down counters and debit machines in between customers as well as regularly touched surfaces. We will have hand sanitizer available and ask that all purchases are made with credit or debit.”

The store also asks that anyone feeling unwell to put off visiting the store in person and to check out their online shop instead as they offer delivery options and curbside pick-up.

To peruse some of Vintage Charm’s treasure, visit their social media pages or their online shop here or visit their new location at 162 Locke St. S (right beside the Starbucks).
