Popular downtown Hamilton cafe branches out with opening of new bottle shop

A favourite downtown Hamilton cafe is expanding and venturing out into the world of wine and beer.
Durand Coffee announced this week that after much anticipation, it will be opening a boutique bottle shop, which is adjacent to the cafe at the corner of Charlton and Caroline.
“In what will not come as a surprise to many of you (this was not a well-kept secret) and after many years (3+ years we have been working on this space!) we are venturing into the world of wine and beer and other libations!,” the owners said in an Instagram post.
“To start, we will be opening up a bottle shop connected to the coffee shop, which we will be stocking with some of our favourite wine and beer to go.”

The Durand Coffee Bottle Shop is expected to open its doors this coming weekend (April 17) with COVID-19 safety protocols in place.

They will also be offering online ordering and curbside pick-up.
The new bottle shop will offer a meticulously curated selection of craft beer and low-intervention wines (wines produced using sustainable farming practices and with little to no chemical or technological manipulation) from well established and celebrated breweries and wineries in Ontario and beyond.
Durand Coffee and Durand Coffee Bottle Shop are located at 142 Charlton Ave. W in downtown Hamilton.
