Police share picture of Hamilton robbery suspect in hopes of making ID

Hamilton Police are looking to identify a man they believe was involved in a robbery at a store in East Hamilton in late November.

Police said the incident in question occurred on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, shortly after 10:00 a.m., when they were called to the Easy Home located at 869 Barton St. East, to reports of a robbery. Once on scene, officers learned the suspect had fled prior to their arrival.

Through continued investigation, police say they learned a man had entered the store and approached the counter where he had a brief conversation with the clerk.

According to police, when the clerk turned their back, the suspect went behind the counter and assaulted the clerk and then grabbed several items and fled on a green bicycle.

No weapon was used and the employee was not physically injured, police said.

Investigators from the BEAR Unit are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the investigation.

The suspect is described as:

  • Light complexion
  • Medium build
  • Black zip-up sweater with a yellow logo on the front
  • Black baseball hat
  • Dark blue jeans
  • Black COVID mask
