Police seek to ID suspect in East Hamilton convenience store robbery

Hamilton Police have released images of a man wanted in connection to an armed robbery at an East End convenience store in March in the hopes of learning his identity.

In a press release issued Monday (May 10), police said the man entered the 7-Eleven located at the corner of Melvin and Woodward in the very early morning hours of March 11, 2021.

The man was reportedly armed with a knife and demanded cash and cigarettes from the store’s staff.

“The store clerks co-operated and handed over cash and merchandise to the suspect,” police said in the release.

“The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot northbound on Woodward Avenue.”

Police have provided the following description of the suspect:

  • caucasian, male
  • 6’0 to 6’2
  • 170 to 180 lbs
  • light blue jean jacket
  • green hooded sweater
  • blue jeans
  • black shoes
  • blue and green bandana
  • grey toque
  • sunglasses
  • carrying a black bag
