Hamilton Police have released new images of two men believed to have been involved in the shooting death of a local man this Spring in the hopes of learning their identity.

David Anderson, a 38-year-old Hamilton man, was shot in the alleyway behind his home between Birch Avenue and Gibson Avenue in north-central Hamilton shortly before 10:30 p.m. on April 28, 2021.

Anderson was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later, making this Hamilton’s 7th homicide of 2021.

Police believe Anderson was the victim of a robbery and shortly after his death, they released a short surveillance video of four suspects fleeing the scene on the night of the shooting.

In a press release issued Wednesday (June 23), police shared new images of two of the four suspects who are all men, captured just prior to the shooting.

“Police are looking for any information that could lead to the identity of these individuals,” Wednesday’s press release said.

“Investigators believe that David Anderson was murdered over an unknown amount of marijuana and possibly currency.”
