Police looking for suspect in Hamilton hotel robbery

The Hamilton Police Service is seeking the public’s help regarding a robbery that took place at the Days Inn Hotel at 210 Main St. E.

On Nov. 30, 2020, shortly after 6:15 p.m., a lone male suspect entered the hotel, approached the front counter and demanded money.

The hotel employee told police the male was in possession of a knife.

“The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and other items as he fled the building,” said police. “He was last seen leaving the area in a dark-coloured vehicle that is believed to have been waiting for his departure.”

The employee was not physically injured during the incident.

The suspect is described by police as a white male with a thin build, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall. He was wearing a baseball hat with a red bill, a black jacket, tan or brown pants, and black shoes.
