Police are currently investigating multiple recent shootings in Hamilton, including two that happened in the city’s east end on Christmas Day.

Shortly after 5:00 a.m. on December 25, police say an unknown suspect (or suspects) shot at a residence on Kenilworth Ave South.

No one was injured and police believe it was a targeted shooting.

The same day, shortly before 7:45 p.m., unknown suspects shot at a residence in the area of Roxborough Ave and Reid Ave. Again, no injuries were reported and police believe the shooting was targeted.

Another shooting took place after 1:30 p.m. today (December 26), with officers responding to the area of 590 North Service Road in Stoney Creek for reports of shots fired.

“Police confirmed a firearm had been discharged inside one of the units, however there were no injuries,” said police. “Witnesses report seeing a Chevrolet Cruze and white SUV fleeing the area at a high rate of speed after the shooting.”

Police are asking residents in these areas to review their video surveillance, and anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 905-546-2907 or 905-546-2963.
