Police investigating shots fired on Hamilton’s East Mountain

Hamilton Police say shots were fired on the East Mountain early Wednesday (Oct. 14) and are appealing to the public for help.

Hamilton Police say shots were fired on the East Mountain early Wednesday (Oct. 14) and are appealing to the public for help.

The shooting took place around 4 a.m. in the area of Fennell Ave. E. and Upper Sherman Ave. Police responded and found several gun shell casings in the area. There were no reports of injuries.

Further investigation found that a person fired several rounds at a townhouse.

Police continue to canvass the neighbourhood and ask the public to check video surveillance systems to see if the incident was filmed.

Meanwhile, police continue to search for the man involved who is only described as wearing dark clothing and carrying a bag or case.
