Police investigating home invasion on Hamilton Mountain

The Hamilton Police Service is asking area residents to check their security cameras for suspicious activity after suspects took cash and firearms from a mountain residence during a targeted home invasion.

On Monday (Jan. 18) at approximately 8:30 p.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Twenty Rd. and Greti Dr. for a report of a home invasion.

The suspects fled prior to the arrival of the police.

“Detectives have learned three armed suspects forced entry into the home and stole cash along with several firearms,” said police. “The suspects were last seen leaving the area in a light coloured sedan.”

Police believe it was a targeted incident.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
