Police investigating Hamilton’s 5th traffic fatality of 2021

The Hamilton Police Service is investigating the city’s fifth traffic fatality after a 72-year-old man died after crashing his vehicle in the west end.

The single-vehicle collision occurred Sunday (June 13) at around 10:30 p.m.

Police say the 72-year-old man from Hamilton was driving his black 2019 BMW sedan on Main St. West when it struck a pole at Whitney Ave.

The intersection was closed for several hours.

Police have not ruled out any contributing factors to the collision.
