Police investigate shooting in Northeast Hamilton

Hamilton Police is investigating the city’s 44th shooting incident of 2019, they said Thursday (Dec. 12).

Police say they continue to look into a shooting incident in the city’s Northeast and that they remain on scene Thursday collecting evidence and canvassing the neighbourhood.

On Wednesday, shortly before midnight, Hamilton Police say they received information about possible shots fired in the area of Cannon Street East and Kensington Avenue North.

Once on scene, police recovered evidence that showed a shooting incident had occurred.

No injuries have been reported.

Hamilton Police will be in the area collecting evidence and canvassing the neighbourhood. Citizens in the area are asked to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity and contact police.

This is the 44th shooting incident for the year.
