One person taken to hospital as Hamilton firefighters battle apartment blaze

Hamilton firefighters are on the scene battling an apartment fire in Stoney Creek.

So far one person has been taken to hospital with injuries.

The building is located on Queenston Rd. near Irene Ave. and Riverdale Ave.

Firefighters report heavy smoke coming out of one unit and additional crews have been called up to help bring the fire under control.
