New Hamilton boutique offers ‘glimmer of hope’ to pandemic brides

A new bridal boutique in Hamilton is celebrating its grand opening Tuesday evening (March 2) in a very unique way and if you’re planning a wedding, you might just want to tune in.

Stolen Hearts Bridal, located at 37 Main St. South in Waterdown, is celebrating its opening with a live virtual grand opening celebration.

The event, hosted on Facebook at 7:30 p.m., will not only provide a glimpse of the elegant new shop, but participants will be treated to a mini fashion show that will highlight some of the latest trends and brands in bridal fashion.

“Think of this as your own personal wedding show,” an Instagram post said.

There will also be giveaways featuring prizes from a number of local businesses and vendors.

They include:

  • A mini photography session, courtesy of local photographer, Alexandra Del Bello
  • A three-month floral subscription, courtesy of Kendon Design Co.
  • A $250 wedding cake credit, courtesy of Sweet Celebrations
  • A three-bottle pack and tasting for two, courtesy of Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery in the Niagara Region.
  • And a 10 per cent discount credit to use in the boutique on any gown

In an Instagram post, Stolen Hearts Bridal’s owner, Amelia, explains why she felt compelled to open a shop that supports such a big celebration in the midst of a global pandemic:

“Opening this boutique in the midst of the pandemic is my way of providing a glimmer of hope, to show brides that their day is worth celebrating, that their bridal experience doesn’t have to be diminished, and that they are worthy of their special moment,” she wrote.

“As a fellow ‘Covid’ Bride myself, it is my mission to show brides that they are worthy of the most amazing experience despite the unknowns surrounding wedding planning right now.”

The shop itself opens to the public on Wednesday (March 3), but by appointment only for the time being.
