Man in ‘life-threatening condition’ after stabbing on Hamilton Mountain

A 42-year-old Hamilton man is in “life-threatening” condition, according to police, after he was reportedly stabbed Sunday (Dec. 13).

At approximately 6 a.m., police received a call regarding a man who had been stabbed in the area of East 27 and Concession St.

“The male victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he remains in life-threatening condition,” said Hamilton Police Service. “Divisional Detectives investigated throughout the day [Sunday] and at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Major Crime Unit took over the investigation.”

Police say they have been canvassing the area.

“An SUV style vehicle was observed fleeing the area,” said police. “There are currently no suspect descriptions.”

Police say they are in the process of gathering video evidence.
