Man in critical condition following stabbing in Central Hamilton: Police

A 30-year-old man remains in critical condition after being stabbed in Central Hamilton late Wednesday night (Feb. 10).

At approximately 11:30 p.m., Hamilton Police said they responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of 646 Main Street East, near Burris Street.

Once on scene, officers said they located a 30-year-old Hamilton man with injuries consistent with being stabbed. The man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and he is considered to be in critical condition.

The Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation and the scene is currently being held. A police presence is expected to be in the area for the majority of the day Thursday.

Police said It is early in the investigation and they expect to provide an update later Thursday.
