Little Ceasars is thanking front-line workers for their service by providing them with 250,000 free slices of pizza.

The international pizza chain announced it will be providing police, firefighters, and health care workers with free pizza to thank them for continuing to serve the public amid the pandemic.

The pizzas will be delivered directly to hospitals, fire departments, and police stations throughout the country.

“Hospital staff and first responders are working around the clock to help keep us safe and healthy, and they are true heroes,” Dave Scrivano, President and CEO of Little Caesar Enterprises, Inc., said in a news release.

“Together with our franchisees across Canada, we want to give back directly to the communities they serve. Little Caesars is a family company and so, we want to thank all of them in the best way we know how–by delivering a wholesome meal,” he continued.

Additionally, Little Ceasars’ customers who order through online or through the pizza chain’s app will have the opportunity to “Pie it Forward,” and thank front-line workers themselves by paying for a pizza that will be donated to one of the aforementioned groups.

Further, Little Ceasars has implemented contactless options for both delivery and pick-up, to help minimize person-to-person contact, and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
