A 63-year-old married father and grandfather won $250,000 with the ticket he purchased at Petro Canada on Upper James St.

“My son took my tickets to the store and checked them,” he shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque. “Then he called me and told me I won. I was flipping and my son was dazed; he wasn’t sure if it was real.”

The roofing sales associate and contractor said he plans to put his winnings into the bank.

“Before this, I never won anything big,” he concluded.

OLG is now accepting in-person prize claims by appointment only for customers with prizes of $1,000 or more who wish to claim at the OLG Prize Centre.
