Athletes, sports enthusiasts and gamers will come together for one big charity event in Hamilton.

The City of Hamilton announced recently that Olympiads, one of Ontario’s biggest eSports charity events, will be coming to Tim Hortons Field in the coming weeks.

Attendees are invited to play Fortnite, Madden or FIFA all while raising funds for World Vision, a humanitarian aid, development, and advocacy organization.

The event comes to town on September 21 and features live entertainment and prizes for those competing.

General Admission is $10 while tournament admission is $20 (spots are limited). Those playing will be using a PC platform with an option to connect XBOX & PS4 controller and players must bring their own cable and controller if choosing to connect with controllers. It’s also recommended to bring your own headphones.

Those in attendance are urged to get creative with their sports attire and there will be social media challenges and a photobooth.
