UPDATE: Hamilton Police have lifted hold and secure on Sherwood and said that the external threat they were investigating proved unfounded.
Sherwood Secondary school on Hamilton’s East Mountain is under a hold and secure order.
On Tuesday (Sept. 17) morning, the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board tweeted out that the school was placed on a hold and secure as “police are supporting a concern external to the school.”
Hamilton police have confirmed that students are safe.
