Hillfield, Empowerment Squared hosting free event with Ndaba Mandela, grandson of Nelson

Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC) and Empowerment Squared are teaming up to host a virtual presentation by Ndaba Mandela, Chairman and Co-Founder of the Africa Rising Foundation and grandson of Nelson Mandela.

The presentation will take place on Feb. 26 at 10 a.m.

“Ndaba draws on the deep wisdom contained in his book Going to the Mountain: Life Lessons from My Grandfather, Nelson Mandela, and shares lessons on international engagement and how we can bring about change in the world,” according to Empowerment Squared.

“As a highlight to Black History Month 2021, this event will also showcase Hillfield’s young leaders and shine a spotlight on the transformational work Empowerment Squared is doing through its HOPE (Harnessing Opportunities to Promote Entrepreneurship) development program in West Africa.”

Those interested can register for free via Zoom.

Ndaba is also the longest-serving global ambassador for UNAIDS, a specialized agency of the United Nations that campaigns to end the HIV/AIDS epidemic.

Both of his parents died from the disease.
