According to Environment Canada, near zero visibility fog is expected or already occurring in some areas in the region, including Hamilton.
The dense fog may persist into Thursday morning, December 26.
“There have been a few reports of visibility less than 200 metres. Travel may be hazardous tonight in areas of near zero visibility,” Environment Canada reports.

Residents are advised to be cautious while commuting and be prepared for drastically reduced visibility, or avoid travelling if possible.
