The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are feeling the love as they hit the road on their journey to the Grey Cup.

A huge crowd turned out to wish the Cats farewell outside of Tim Hortons Field on Tuesday (Nov. 19).

Students at Prince of Wales Elementary School, which is a close neighbour of Tim Hortons Field, lined up outside their school carrying signs of support for their team.

The excitement in the city is palpable as the East Division champions head out west to battle for CFL supremacy. They face-off against the Winnipeg Bluebombers in Calgary on Sunday (Nov. 24) in the 107th edition of the Grey Cup.

It’s been 20 years since the Tiger-Cats last brought home the Grey Cup when they beat the Calgary Stampeders 32-31 in 1999.
