Hamilton Police search for man involved in ‘indecent act’ at library

Hamilton Police are looking to identify a man they say is involved in an indecent act at a local library.

On November 26, 2019, shortly after 10:15 a.m., police say a man entered the Sherwood Public Library on Upper Ottawa Street and committed an indecent act.

The man was inside the library standing by a window when his actions were observed by a citizen. The witness reported the incident to the library staff, but the man had already left the area.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect or witnesses to the offence.

Police have selected a photo from the Library surveillance video in hopes of identifying the suspect.

The suspect is described as being approximately 30 years old, having a bald or shaved head, wearing a black sweater with a red and grey pattern on the shoulders and front, blue jeans, and large headphones at the time of the incident.
