Hamilton Police re-issue public appeal in winter bank robbery

Hamilton Police made another appeal to the public as they attempt to locate a suspect in a bank robbery on Dec. 23, 2020.

Shortly after 3 p.m., police responded to a bank in Waterdown after reports of a robbery.

A lone male allegedly entered the store and approached the counter demanding a large quantity of cash.

“Once cash was obtained the suspect fled on foot,” said police.

No weapon was reportedly used in the incident and employees were not physically injured.

The suspect is described as a male with a light complexion and medium build. During the incident, he was reportedly wearing a dark-coloured jacket, light-coloured pants, a multicoloured bandana face covering, and dark sunglasses.
