Hamilton Police look to ID pair involved series of armed pharmacy robberies

Hamilton Police said they are looking to identify two suspects involved in a series of pharmacy robberies in the City in recent days.

On Friday, January 8, 2021, police said that shortly before 6:00 p.m., they responded to a report of a commercial robbery on the east mountain.

Information obtained at the scene was that two men armed with handguns entered a pharmacy in the area and threatened on-duty staff, obtained an unspecified amount of narcotics and fled on foot.

The same two suspects then reportedly targeted another pharmacy on January 18 in the west end of Hamilton and another on January 19 on the west mountain.

In both incidents, police said the two suspects were armed with a handgun and were able to obtain narcotics.

Police said in a press release issued Wednesday (Jan. 20) that the suspects have been targeting small independent pharmacies after sunset and that no physical injuries have been reported to police yet.

Police describe the first suspects as:

  • Male, white
  • 25-35 years-of-age
  • Medium build and height
  • Light brown to blonde hair
  • Dark Clothing

The second suspect is described as:

  • Male, white
  • 20-30 years-of-age
  • Thin build
