Hamilton police investigating ’47th shooting incident of 2019′

Hamilton Police Service (HPS) says it’s continuing to investigate a shooting incident in the area of King Street East and Cochrane Road.

Police remained on the scene Tuesday morning collecting evidence and canvassing the neighbourhood.
The shooting, which HPS say is the 47th of 2019, reportedly occurred shortly before midnight on Monday.
Police say they received information about possible shots fired in the area and subsequently found “evidence to support a shooting incident had occurred”.

No injuries have been reported, according to Hamilton police.
Residents in the area are asked to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity and contact police.
