Hamilton Police investigate two West End restaurant robberies

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit continues to investigate two late-night robberies in the city’s West End.

Police say they believe the incidents are related.

On Wednesday (Feb. 5) shortly after 11:30 p.m., two men in disguise entered the Subway Restaurant located at 1333 Main St. W.

One suspect interacted with the patrons while the other suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from staff members. The suspects then fled the store.

Then, shortly after 11:30 p.m., two men in disguise entered the Quik Chik Restaurant located at 1331 Main Street West. While one suspect interacted with the patrons, the second suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from staff. The suspects then fled the store.

Uniform Officers along with a K9 unit responded to the area and assisted in the investigation.

During both incidents, one suspect was in possession of a handgun and no one was physically injured.

The Hamilton Police BEAR Unit has taken over the investigations.

The first suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian man
  • 5’7” – 5’ 9” tall
  • Medium build
  • Dark clothing

The second suspect is described as:

  • Caucasian man
  • 5’7” – 5’ 9” tall
  • Medium build
  • Dark clothing
