Hamilton Police investigate ‘targeted’ late night shooting on Mountain

Hamilton Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened late Monday night (Nov. 30) on the Mountain.

At approximately 10:30 p.m, police say they responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Upper Wellington and the Lincoln Alexander Parkway. There were no reports of injuries.

Police say that witnesses report the suspect(s) fired a number of shots, before fleeing the area in a motor vehicle.

Detectives from the Mountain Division Criminal investigations Branch are currently investigating and police say they believe the incident to have been targeted.

Hamilton Police are asking area residents to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity and to contact the detectives.
