Hamilton Police say they are investigating four garage break-in incidents that occurred in the Flamborough area between Wednesday, November 6 and Thursday, November 7, 2019.

The four residences were in the area of Highway 5 and Rock Chapel Road, Grandstone Way and Waterwheel Crescent, and Riley Street and Meagan Street.

In three of the four incidents, the suspect(s) targeted the homeowner’s vehicles that were parked in the driveway and used the garage door openers found inside to gain entry to the garages.

A vehicle and trailer were taken from one of the break-ins. The trailer has since been recovered but a 2013 gray Lexus RX350 SUV grey remains outstanding.

Police are asking the public to check their home security systems for any suspicious activity during this period and to keep an eye out for the outstanding stolen vehicle.

They also suggest that residents remove garage door openers from vehicles as criminals may target your vehicle in order to gain access to your residence.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton Police Service, Detective Richard Vanderboom at 905-546-2377 or Detective Sergeant Marco DelConte at 905-546-3851.
